Congratulations Caledonia Rotary Club! It is time to celebrate our achievements. Please sign up and join in the fun at the Avenues of Service dinner on August 25th. Our club is bringing home four awards. Caledonia Rotary is being given the 2019 International Service Award (shared with Downtown) for the Cameroon project. Joe Welch is being awarded the 2019 Rotarian of the Year and Ashley Dress is being awarded the 2020 Rotarian of the Year. And, the Lifetime Achievement Award is being presented to Naomi Fruechte. I am very proud of our club and our members!
Thanks to everyone who is volunteering at the Houston County Historical Society during the Houston County Fair. Our shift ends at 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 21. The opportunity is open for everyone to join us afterwards to enjoy a little socializing at the beer stand.
Starting in August, we will be meeting at The Farmhouse for the first time in over a year. Cela Schroeder, a 2016 Caledonia High School graduate, will be speaking to us on August 13 and the District Governor, Karen Hebert, will be visiting us on August 27. Sarah and Mary are looking forward to our return to The Farmhouse and I am looking forward to seeing you on the patio for breakfast!
