Hello Fellow Rotarians:
Rose Sale: We did it! Our rose sale was a huge success thanks to our rose sale chairman, Randy Mell, all members who sold flowers, and those who volunteered to distribute. Also a big thank you to Mary Ann's Floral for securing the flowers and sharing space for us to distribute them. Thanks to Thrivent for a grant that was used toward payment of the flowers. This was our most profitable sale, slightly surpassing our sales in 2018 which was our previous high.
Welcome Teachers: Our Service Committee chair, Sherry Sime, delivered roses, a welcome note, and our Rotary club brochure to new teachers in Caledonia schools on behalf of our club. This is the second year we have welcomed new teachers as a community service project.
Congratulations to Supt. Craig Ihrke, fellow Rotarian, for the 2024 Blue Ribbon School Award given to Caledonia High School.

Cybercrimes, Scams & Fraud: LaCrescent Rotary Club will host the "Cybercrimes, Scams & Fraud: Arm Yourself with Knowledge!" event on October 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wieser Park Pavilion. The event is free and open to the public, but you need to register in advance
Rotary Peace Academy Our DG is encouraging every Rotarian in our District to take advantage of a free training course available to us through Rotary’s partnership with the Institute for Economics and Peace. This two-hour course titled “ Rotary Positive Peace Academy” is designed to help you discover the strategies and tools that can help individuals build and sustain peace.
